Thank you very much for your attention !

The main major types of Earth resources such as energy, metallic, non-metallic, water, soil - and the impacts that resource usage has on the Earth environment are a currently crictical issue of worldwide interest. Geo-spatial technology and its rapid progression play a pivotal role in managing Earth resoures and monitoring the Earth environment. The 2017 international conference on Geo-spatial technologies and Earth resources (GTER 2017) which will be held at the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) is an excellent opportunity for academics, practitioners, consultants, scholars, researchers and policy makers to present their papers, exchange, and share their ideas, research results in the field of Earth resources and Geospatial technologies.

The Hanoi University of Mining and Geology was founded in 1966. After 50 years of relentless efforts, the university has emerged as a leading institution in Vietnam for higher education, training and scientific research in the fields of Earth science. Mine surveying has been teaching by the Mine Surveying department at the university since 1967. As a result, thousands of mine surveyors have been working in many areas of the country. In October 2017, surveyors from all over of Vietnam will gather in Hanoi to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam mine surveying education. The HUMG and the International Society for Mine Surveying (ISM) will co-organize the GTER 2017 to mark this special event.

Vietnam is a great country with many beautiful landscapes such as Ha Long bay, Sapa, Trang An, etc. This event will be a good chance for the conference’s participants to explore the country and people here.

We are looking forward to meeting you in Ha Noi.

Rector of HUMG
